The Korean Council for Justice and Remembrance for the Issues of Military Sexual Slavery by Japan ย (the Korean Council) ย is accepting applications for the Emerging Researcher Award as part of the Kim Bok-dong Peace and Human Rights Award. To encourage research on the Japanese military sexual slavery issue and wartime sexual violence, and to disseminate the academic achievements of emerging researchers, we will select and support relevant master's and doctoral thesis, as well as papers published in specialized academic journals. ๐Eligibility and Details
(1) Eligibility: No specific restrictions
โป Applicants must have obtained their doctoral degree within the last 10 years from the announcement date.
(2) Eligible Researchย
- Subject: Historical, sociological, feminist, literary, or other research on the Japanese Military Sexual Slavery Issues and wartime sexual violence (including all interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary studies)
- Domestic master's or doctoral dissertations passed within 2 years of the announcement date
- Academic papers published in domestic or international specialized academic journals within 2 years of the announcement date
(3) Award Recipients: Up to 3 works (No awards may be given depending on the review results)
(4) Award Amount: Total 3 million KRW (1 million KRW per work)
